Post-Baccalaureate Research Experiences for LSAMP Students in Puerto Rico (PRELS-PR) aims to provide students with the opportunity to gain meaningful experiences in research and professional development within a supportive research environment. Achieving this goal will have a huge impact on the life of the trainees and consequently increase the number of students from historically underrepresented groups in science to continue STEM careers and integrate into the STEM workforce.

Participant
Requirements

Be an Active
PR-LSAMP Student

Be or have been an active PR-LSAMP Student and have met all program requirements

US Citizen or
Permanent Resident

PR-LSAMP is not allowed by its rules and regulations to give economic support to foreign students

Baccalaureate Degree

Have obtained a baccalaureate degree on or before May 2023

Interest in doing Research for 1 year

Have an interest in doing research for one year at UPR-Río Piedras

Pursuing Graduate Studies or Employment in STEM

Have an interest in pursuing graduate studies or employment in STEM

Not be enrolled in any postgraduate program

Not simultaneously participate in another Federal program
